Silence: The Whispered World 2 is an upcoming adventure game and successor of The Whispered World, which launched in 2009 at the fair and critical praise.
The game is being developed by Daedalic Entertainment, a company based in Germany, who also worked on “Deponia” series of games, as well as turn on tactics based game scoundrels strategy. Although The Whispered World was published by Deep Silver, daedalic entertainment rather publish later.
While The Whispered World was a style of art and very recognizable world of game, Silence: The Whispered World 2 takes a direction quite different, moving in a world inspired by steampunk style that keeps the hired hand drawn to animation that made its predecessor so beautiful.
The Whispered World has made use of the Studio Engine Visionaire which allowed developers to different layers overlap parallax to create a sort of view-box. This allowed for a very unique look in the game’s major graphic difference in Silence. The Whispered World 2 is that it now uses 3D technology and the method they call “projection camera” to create a 3D environment they can project on visual world.
Speaking of which in the PlayStation Blog, the gaming director Uli Wanitschke said: “We now use 3D technology, following a method we call the projection of the camera.
