BlazBlue is essentially what the fighter game genre needs at this day and age. It doesn’t make the character roster even larger, in fact 12 just seems ridiculously short. The same goes for the game modes and the stages. Everything is just shorter. But then why is it so much better than most of the King of Fighters and Soul Caliburs out there. In short, it was quality over quantity and the superb fighting game engine is what makes BlazBlue easily the best fighting game I’ve played this year.
